Burlington Chiropractic FAQs

What does a chiropractor do?

A chiropractor evaluates and cares for the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. At Burlington Chiropractic, our doctors use precise spinal adjustments, soft-tissue techniques, corrective exercises, and lifestyle coaching to help your body move better and heal naturally without drugs or surgery.

Where is Burlington Chiropractic located?

Our office is located at 218 West Broad Street in Burlington, NJ 08016. We welcome patients from Burlington City, Burlington Township, and the surrounding Burlington County communities.

What are your office hours?

We are open Monday and Wednesday from 8:30am to 6:30pm, Thursday from 2:00pm to 6:30pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 12:30pm. We are closed Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No. Chiropractors are primary contact providers in New Jersey, so you can schedule directly with our office. Some insurance plans have their own referral rules, so our team is happy to help you check your coverage.

What makes Burlington Chiropractic different from other chiropractors?

Every patient receives our signature 5 Phase Bio-Structural Evaluation, which includes a consultation, digital spinal nerve testing, digital X-rays, Dynamic Digital Radiography (motion X-ray), and correction monitoring. This lets our doctors find the cause of your problem and show you measurable progress.

What happens during my first visit?

Your first visit includes a health history review, a consultation with the doctor, and an examination. Depending on your needs, we may perform nerve testing and digital imaging so we can build a care plan that fits your goals.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Yes. Chiropractic care is a safe, non-invasive, and drug-free approach when performed by licensed doctors. We review your health history carefully and use gentle techniques such as drop table and instrument-assisted adjusting for patients who prefer not to have their spine twisted.

Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?

Most patients find adjustments comfortable and relieving. Our office uses precision adjusting tools and drop table techniques that minimize twisting and popping. You may feel mild soreness after early visits as your body adapts, which typically fades quickly.

Why do you take X-rays?

X-rays help our doctors see the structure and alignment of your spine, rule out conditions that need other care, and make your adjustments more precise. Our digital imaging and Dynamic Digital Radiography use far less radiation than older film methods.

What is Dynamic Digital Radiography (DDR)?

DDR is a motion X-ray that captures your spine as it moves. It allows our doctors to evaluate ligament, muscle, and joint stability at each vertebra, which helps guide more precise care than static images alone.

What conditions do you treat?

We help patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, pinched nerves, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, shoulder and knee pain, TMJ, vertigo, carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy, and injuries from auto accidents, sports, and work.

Can chiropractic help after a car accident?

Yes. Auto accidents commonly cause whiplash, neck pain, back pain, and headaches, and symptoms may not appear for days or weeks. An early evaluation helps document your injuries and begin care that supports a full recovery.

Do you treat work injuries and workers’ compensation cases?

Yes. We care for patients injured on the job, including repetitive strain injuries, lifting injuries, and slip-and-fall injuries. Our team can help you understand the next steps with your workers’ compensation claim.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Yes. We provide gentle prenatal chiropractic care, including the Webster Technique, to help ease back and pelvic discomfort and support pelvic balance throughout each trimester.

Can children see a chiropractor?

Yes. We see patients of all ages, from newborns to teens. Pediatric adjustments use only light fingertip pressure and are adapted to each child’s age, size, and stage of development.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept many insurance plans and will do everything we can to help you maximize your benefits. Please bring your insurance card and photo ID to your first visit so we can verify your coverage. We also accept cash, checks, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

How many visits will I need?

Every patient is different. After your evaluation, our doctors will explain your findings, recommend a care plan with clear goals, and track your progress with objective testing so you always know how you are improving.
